Stages of the Subdivision Application Process
(For subdivisions of five or more lots in Blaine County, ID)
1. Pre-Application Submission (Optional)
(Subdivider submits general plans for initial review of the Planning and Zoning Administrator)
2. Application Submission/ Initial Planning and Zoning Commission Review
(Subdivider submits application to the Planning and Zoning Commission for review, and the application is approved or disapproved by the Commission at a public hearing. Upon its submission at Planning and Zoning, the application is open for public review and comment.)
3. Initial Board Review
(Board considers recommendations of the Commission, reaches a decision at a public hearing. Citizens may contribute to the public hearing.)
4. Final Plat Review
(The board presents conditions of approval that, when fulfilled and noted by Planning and Zoning, mark the final stage of approval for the project.)
5. Court Appeal Period (expires twenty-eight days after the final approval)
6. Final Plat Signing and Recording
(Final Plat is signed by different departments of the county, recorded at the Recorder's office, plans become enforceable)
